The Role of The Sacristan
The role of the sacristan is to set up
the church in preparation for the
celebration of mass each Saturday night Sunday morning. In addition, the
sacristan will be called
upon to set up for special celebrations.
In general, the sacristan will be asked to assist in maintaining such
things as vestments, candles, chalices, books and other items in the sacristy
which are used for our celebrations. We also prepare the necessary items
used by the priest when a baptism is performed during the mass.
More specifically , the role of the sacristan includes:
1. Setting up the Eucharist For Mass
2. Setting up for a Baptism performed during our Saturday and Sunday Mass
